##Reflection:
“Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim man and woman.”
In the Prophet’s view, learning was not just an optional or luxurious activity, but rather a religious obligation. A science that leads a person to awareness, growth, and making the right decisions in this life and the hereafter.
And in the second narration, the Prophet (PBUH&HP) says:
“The wise is the one who calculates himself and acts for the afterlife, and the weak is the one who follows the desires of the soul and only makes vain wishes.”
These two hadiths together present a very clear picture of the Islamic lifestyle:
- Learning, awareness, and growth are the duties of all of us; regardless of age, gender, or situation.
- Vigilance in life means: self-knowledge, calculating behavior, and preparation for the future (both worldly and hereafter).
- Wishes without action deceive a person; but knowledge and action save.
