(1) Asiya (AS) is the name of Pharaoh's wife. She found Prophet Musa (AS) as a baby and convinced Pharaoah not to murder him. She then rejected her husband's claim of divinity and was a Muslim as she chose monotheism. Some Muslim girls are called Asiya. (2) Asiya is what Arabs call the continent of Asia.
